Bucket List!

I was thinking about all the things I am going to do in Zambia, and they are all the things that were on my bucket list.

  • Sing "I am on top of the world" by Imagine Dragons on top of the tallest building in the world. We have a layover in Dubai, and we made reservations to go on to the tallest building in the world.
  • Play and touch and cuddle with baby lions. Our friends have a neighbor that is a vet, and she is taking care of 2 baby malnourished lions. So when we are staying with our friends we can play and touch and cuddle with the baby lions.\
I think that is it although if i think of something else I will do Bucket List Part 2! Thanks all who read my blog it means alot to me!

4 days ya'll! If you ever want to go to Zambia you should know some stuff.

  • If someone says "Oh, you are looking very fat." Do not take it as a insult, that means you are looking very healthy, which is a compliment, in Zambia.
  • Do not wear shorts in public, it is inappropriate in their culture. Like wearing low shirts in our culture.
  • You have to have an adventurous taste bud. If you do not want to eat rats, caterpillars, fish, termites, and cow intestines. I would advise you not to go..... that is their staple food.
  • You should be prepared to see super cute puppies getting sold on the side of the road. DO NOT BUY THEM, they have lice, ticks, and fleas, and they might have rabies.
  • If you don't like snakes, cockroaches, spiders, and rats. Prepare yourself!
  • If you don't mind stinky people, stinky streets, and stinky dead animals. You are good to go!
  • Do not freak out if you see random fires on the side of the street! It is normal, they are just burning garbage. Just close the windows, it stinks!
  • Lock your doors when you go downtown, people try to jump in your car.
  • Do not try Shake Shake. It is pure alcohol and I have heard it is really disgusting.
  • If you are offered crocodile burgers, say YES. They are super good.
  • Do not buy any meat on the side of the road, you most likely would see why.
  •  Do not try this at local safaris, this was a tame deer
  •  This is a local food market. Not like Safeway at all! And this is not crowded
  • . THis is their staple food, along with all the ones in the previous statement.
So this is what you need to know if you are considering going to Zambia. We also have a blog when we lived there here is the link. http://www.aliveinafrica.com/search?updated-max=2011-08-02T10:27:00-07:00&max-results=20&start=53&by-date=false

10 days left.......... Yesterday we went on our first shopping trip out of many, because we are having a family camp in Zambia with all my dads former pastors.
But they are bringing all their kids and then the kids are bringing their kids. And we just got an email from Patson the pastor the 2nd to the right saying there are going to be kids from 2 -15 and there are supposed to be 50 kids maybe more if they bring their second and their third cousins.
This is a picture of our first shopping trip.....
